We’re proud to bring you a new song from 1-Speed Bike, alter-ego of Aidan Girt, drummer for Montreal-based bands Exhaust and our favourite-ever Godspeed You! Black Emperor.
1-Speed Bike (or sometime Bottleskup Flenkenkenmike) went on to build
a large sample bank sourced from his own live drumming and made a
full-length album (Droopy Butt Begone!) for Constellation
in 2000. He has also moshed things up at numerous street actions and
benefits over the years, and went on to release a series of records on Broklyn Beats.His last album Pashto Translator Needed came out in the January 2010 and it is free to download on his bandcamp meanwhile “This Country Is Torture” arrived at the Bad Panda headquarter on a cd-r soaked with a classic mix of rage and humor… that is just perfect for all of us, “trapped in the belly of this horrible machine”.
